Day 01: Arrive Delhi
On arrival, the
guest will be met by our representative and transferred to the hotel.
Stay
overnight at the hotel.
Day 02: Delhi - Pathankot
Enjoy a morning
tour of Old Delhi, where you can visit the ancient monument of Red Fort and crowded
bazaars of Chandni Chowk, one of the most popular places to shop at. Later you
can visit Jama Masjid, the greatest mosque in India and the Raj Ghat.
A tour
to New Delhi where you can visit the Qutab Minar and the colorful Birla Mandir.Besides
this; a drive along Rajpath would let you see sights as the Parliament, President's
Palace, and India Gate. In the late evening leave for Pathankot. Overnight stay
on the train.
Day 03: Delhi - Jaipur
In the morning drive to
Jaipur, which is situated at a distance of about 140 km. Upon arrival, check-in
at the hotel.
Thereafter take a short tour of the impressive Amber Fort, situated
on a ridge just outside Jaipur City. Here you can enjoy a ride on the caparisoned
elephant. The construction of the Fort was completed in the early 18th century
and offers a fascinating insight into the lifestyle of the Rajput ruling families.
Day
04: Jaipur
Take a tour of the Pink City of Jaipur, spectacularly set within
surrounding rugged hills, dotted with ancient ruined fortresses. Your temple tour
will include the imposing City Palace. Here you can find many antiques and artifacts
belonging to the ruling family, including a collection of weaponry. Also visit
the Hawa Mahal "Palace of the Winds", and the open-air Jantar Mantar
Observatory to see the vast astronomical instruments.
Overnight stay at the
hotel.
Day 05: Jaipur - Agra
Early morning, drive to Agra. On
arrival in Agra directly proceed for sightseeing tour. Visit the famous Taj Mahal,
the famous Mughal monument; constructed by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his
wife Mumtaz Mahal .The white structured monument is known to be a symbol of love.
The central structure has four small domes surrounding the huge, central dome.
It becomes a must visit on your North India temple tour. Here you can also visit
the city of Fatehpur Sikri, the city built in the 16th century by the Mughal Emperor
Akbar.Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 06: Agra - Jhansi - Orchha
Morning
transfer to the railway station for your train to Jhansi. Upon arrival proceed
to Orchha, situated at a distance of about 18 kms and check-in at the hotel.
Afternoon
sightseeing tour of Orchha, overlooked by the modern era, this beautiful medieval
town, was once the capital of Bundela Kings. Built along the banks of the river
Betwa. Amongst the various imposing edifices, of particular interest are the Jehangiri
Mahal, built by Raja Bir Singh Deo to commemorate the visit of Mughal Emperor
Jehangir, the Raj Mahal and the Laxmi Narayan temple, both noted for their fine
Frescoes and Mural paintings. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 07: Orchha
- Khajuraho
Morning drive to Khajuraho, situated at a distance of about
150 kms and upon arrival check-in at hotel.
Visit the most important and fascinating
Western group of temples of Khajuraho. These temples are famous for their intricate
sculptures and erotic carvings that are one of the outstanding achievements of
Indian art. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 08: Khajuraho - Varanasi
In the morning, visit the Eastern group of temples, which consists of
3 Hindu and 3 Jain temples. Afternoon transfer to the airport for flight to Varanasi.
On
arrival in Varanasi, proceed for sightseeing tour of Sarnath. Sarnath is situated
at a distance of about 5 miles from Varanasi. It is one of the holiest Buddhist
sites in the world, where Buddha preached his first Sermon in 590 B.C. Here you
will witness the ruins of a once flourishing Buddhist monastery and then visit
a fine Museum which houses an excellent collection of Buddhist art and sculptures
found at the site. Transfer to the hotel and check-in. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day
09: Varanasi
Early morning boat ride on the sacred river Ganges to see
the cremation Ghats and witness the living traditions of one of the world's oldest
and most important religions. Visit some of the many Hindu temples that line the
river Ganges. Stroll along the narrow lanes and bazaars full of shops selling,
among other things, the world famous Benaras Silks.
Day 10: Varanasi
- Delhi
Afternoon transfer to the airport for the flight to Delhi. Upon
arrival, transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. You can enjoy shopping
at Delhi. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 11: Delhi
Early
morning transfer to the International airport to catch a flight to your onward
destination.
