The Shahabad fort is located in the Shahabad town of the Baran district of Rajasthan, which is one of the strongest forts of the Hadoti region. The Shahabad Fort has located about 80 km from Baran. The fort of Shahabad was built in 1521 by the Chauhan Rajput Muktamani Dev.

The fort is surrounded by densely forested areas, dense plains, and the Kund Koh valley and has some notable structures within its walls. Fort of Shahabad is surrounded by forests and it attracts more lovers of nature and tourists.
History shows that this fort was home to 18 powerful cannons, one of which was up to 19 feet long! Significantly, the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb also lived here for some time.
Apart from them, there are artillery, barudkhana, and many temples in this fort. The fort of Shahbad is ancient and tourism is very important.
