Built-in the 9th century, this Bawadi was built by Raja Mihir Bhoj (also known as Chand), and named after him, Chand Bawadi falls. The world's deepest BAORI is around 35 meters wide and the staircase from top to bottom has remained fixed so that the level of water can be filled easily. This 13-storeyed BAORI is more than 70 feet deep, in which there are 1300 stairs in the form of a maze. In front of it is the famous Harshad Mata temple. Some traditions related to the construction of Bawdi are also prevalent, such that this Bawdi was constructed by the ghosts and it was made so deep that if any object fell into it, then it is impossible to get back.

In this three-storeyed Bawdi, there is a dance chamber and a secret tunnel, as well as the lateral pavilion made in the upper part of it,  gives evidence of the use of this BAORI for a long time. To go to its fold, 13 sopan and about 1300 stairs have been built, which show an outstanding example of art. Surrounded by coloured verandas, this  BAORI is square to four. The beautiful idols of Mahishasur Mardini and Ganesh Ji make it special even on two lower floors on its lowest floor. It is also heard about the Bawadi tunnel that it was used by the King or the soldiers during the war or other emergency situations. An inscription has also been found in the excavation and renovation of BAORI, about five-six years ago, in which the name of King Chand is found. The unique feature of both Chand Baawadi and Harshad Mata Temple is that they have been carved with magnificent carvings on the stones used in their construction, as well as pictures of 33 crore deities and goddesses of Hinduism have been carved on their walls. Bawdy's stairs have been built in an attractive and artistic way, and it is also the specialty that the person coming down in Bawadi cannot get back up from the same staircase. Aabhanari is famous for the post-Gupta era and the early medieval monuments, which have been dispersed in the invasion of foreign invasion and spread here and there.
