Sorsan Wildlife Sanctuary, popularly known as Sorsan Grassland, is adorned with lakes, ponds and scrub vegetation. Located in the Baran district of Rajasthan, Sorsan Wildlife Sanctuary is a paradise for wildlife lovers.

Spread over about 43 square kilometres, this sanctuary is known for its diversity of flora and fauna, making it a picturesque destination for nature lovers. It is home to birds like orioles, quail, pheasants, weavers, robins and waterfowl as well as animals like Indian gazelle (chinkara) and blackbuck.
During the winter season, Sorsan Grassland becomes a centre of attraction for migratory birds like warblers, flycatchers, larks, starlings and rosy pastures.
Sorsan is the former home of the state bird of Rajasthan, the Great Indian Bustard, where a Great Indian Bustard breeding centre is proposed. Wildlife is found in abundance here. The region is known for the blackbuck. There are around 3000 blackbucks and chinkaras here.

By Road: Baran is well connected by road network, and you can reach Sorsan Wildlife Sanctuary via buses or private vehicles.
The sanctuary is around 25 km away from Baran town. You can follow the NH27 highway and then take the road leading to the sanctuary.
