Gajner Palace was connected to Bikaner Railway in 1922 AD. Gajner Palace was converted into a hotel in 1976 by the Rajasthan government to promote tourism. And it is currently owned by HRH Group of Hotels.
The Gajner Palace is an excellent example of Rajasthani architecture inspired by Jain and Mughal architecture. Gajner Palace is spread over a vast area of 6000 acres, which includes Gulab Niwas, Champa Niwas, Dungar Niwas and Mandir Chowk.
The Dungar Niwas has 13 suites which were used to host the British logo people. And the second branch, Gulab Niwas, has 32 executive rooms that were handed over to railway officials during the British period.
Temple Chowk is the last wing of the palace which has a reception hall, an ancient temple and a centuries-old banyan. The hotel is built in traditional Rajasthani architectural style with elements of British Raj in its infrastructure and decoration.
The palace is known for its distinctive terraces and balcony. The palace complex also has the remains of a historic railway station.
