In 1868, this fort was expanded during the reign of King Sawai Ram Singh. In the period 1883-92, Sawai Madho Singh constructed many palaces in Nahargarh with the cost of Rs 3 to 3.5 lakh.

Madhavendra Mahal is the most beautiful place in Nahargarh Fort. This was designed by Vidyadhar Bhattacharya.

Different palaces have been built for the nine queens of King Sawai Ram Singh, who are also the most beautiful ones. Modern facilities were arranged for them.
