The fort is also known to have sheltered many Europeans during the Sepoy Mutiny of 1857. The palace underwent renovation in the year 1868 when Rajaswai Ram Singh built a range of palaces inside the Nahargarh Fort. Spread over an area of 7.2 square kilometers of the Nahargarh Sanctuary, the biological park is decorated with fine granite and quartzite rocks. This park is known for its rich flora in which you can see many animals in their natural surroundings.
Asiatic lions, Bengal tigers, and Indian leopards are also found in this biological park. Most notably, 285 species of birds are also found in the park, which is very happy for bird lovers.
Nahargarh Zoological is another tourist center, where animals such as Asiatic lion, Bengal Tiger, Panther, Wolf, Deer, Hyena, Crocodile, Himalayan black bears, dull bears, wild boars, etc. are found.
