History of Sanwariya Seth Temple
The history of the Sanwalia Seth temple is said to be 100 years old. The idol installed in the sanctum sanctorum of the temple is the same idol that Mirabai used to worship.
It is told that in the olden times, a cowherd living in Mandafia village had a dream at night that there were idols in the ground in Bhadsoda village. When digging there, three idols of God came out, and out of those four idols, one idol was brought to Mandafia village. And installed idols in Mandaphia village.

The temple of Sanwaliya Seth is one of the huge temples in India. The Sawariyaji temple complex is a grand beautiful structure built in pink sandstone. In the sanctum sanctorum of the temple, a black stone idol of Seth Sawaliya Ji is installed which is dedicated to Lord Krishna.
The architecture of Sanwaliya Seth Temple is inspired by ancient Hindu temples. The walls and pillars of the temple are beautifully carved whereas, the floor is made of immaculate shades of pink, pure white, and yellow.
Story of Sanwariya Seth Rajasthan
Sanwaliya Seth Temple, dedicated to Shri Krishna, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu, has an interesting legend associated with it from about 200 years ago, about which devotees are very excited to know. It is believed that in the year 1840, a milkman named Bholaram Gurjar had a dream of three divine idols buried underground in Chapar village of Bhadsoda-Bagund.
After this those places were excavated with the help of local people and those divine idols were removed. One of these idols was taken to Mandapiya, one to Bhadsoda, and the third idol was enshrined at the same place from where these supernatural idols were taken out.

The temple of Seth Sawaliya Ji remains open daily from 5.00 am to 12.00 noon and from 2.30 pm to 11.00 pm. During this time you can visit Sanwaliya Seth anytime.

You can visit Sanwalia Seth temple at any time of the year, but tourists should visit Sanwalia Seth temple between October to March. Because this time is considered the best time to visit Chittorgarh.
