The Statue of Liberty was a gift from the French to commemorate America’s independence. The Statue of Liberty was built in France between 1875 and 1884 under the direction of French sculptor Frederic Auguste Bartholdi, jointly by both France and the United States. Which was later brought in several pieces to New York harbor on 17 June 1885 by the French warship “Isère”.

One has to climb 354 winding stairs to reach the 22-story crown of this idol.
