Situated in the city of lakes Udaipur in Rajasthan, Sajjangarh Biological Park is one of the major attractions of Udaipur. It is situated at the foothills of Monsoon Palace (Sajjangarh Palace) and is 6 km from Udaipur Railway Station.
Sajjangarh Biological Park was inaugurated on 12 April 2015 by Environment and Forest Minister Prakash Javadekar, Gulab Chand Kataria, MLA Phoolchand Meena, MP Arjun Lal Meena, and Minister Rajkumar Rinwa. Spread over an area of 36 hectares, it is home to a large variety of wildlife.
The Sajjangarh Biological Park located in Udaipur is one of the best places to experience and see a variety of flora and fauna living harmoniously in a man-made habitat.

The main objective of the Biological Park is to make people aware of the flora and fauna of the area and to create sympathy for the wild animals that are killed mercilessly for-profit and other reasons.
Sajjangarh Wildlife Sanctuary is a major part of the Sajjangarh Palace built-in 1884. The palace is named after one of the bravest rulers of the Mewar dynasty, Maharana Sajjan Singh. Built-in stunning white marble with nine stories, the Palace offers amazing views of Lake Pichola and the surrounding areas. The Sajjangarh Wildlife Sanctuary was earlier used as a hunting ground by the royal members of the Mewar dynasty of Udaipur.
In addition, various measures have been taken to maintain the health of the fauna present in the Sajjangarh Biological Park for the care of animals inside the park and there is a zoo hospital for the care of sick animals.
The use of plastic covers/bags is prohibited inside the biological park in Udaipur. The zoo has a nutrition center that caters to the fodder needs of the wild animals of the zoo. There is a full-time experienced vet and a trained compounder to pick up the animals. In addition, CCTV cameras have been installed in the zoo for 24-hour surveillance.
Wildlife in Sajjangarh Biological Park- Himalayan Black Bear, Jungle Cat, Leopard, Tiger, Sambar, Striped Hyena, Lion, Indian Porcupine, Common Fox, Sloth Bear, Cheetaloo, Black Buck, Jackal, Chausingha, Chinkara, White Tiger, Gharial, Marsh crocodile, star tortoise, etc.
