History of saheliyon ki bari

Saheliyon ki Bari was built by Maharana Maharana Sangram Singh of Udaipur in the 18th century between 1710 AD and 1734 AD. It was built for the young women accompanying the princess after the marriage of Maharaja Sangram Singh. It is said that Raja Sangram Singh himself designed the Saheliyon ki Badi and gifted this monument to his beautiful queen.

It is said that the queen loved the sound of rain, so the king has also installed magnificent fountains for the sound of rain, which welcomes tourists to this royal garden on either side of the gate. Along with this, fountains are also installed in the middle of the garden, which makes every corner of the garden feel like rain.

Saheliyon ki Badi gardens are very beautiful and lush green, as well as the construction made of marble stones in it, is worth seeing. The bird’s beak-shaped fountains that have been sourced from England add to the charm of this garden manifold. Water keeps falling continuously from the beak of these birds.
